The apartment number one is around 80 square meters big and can accommodate up to four people. It has a horseshoe shape, is brightly lit and very quiet as all openings overlook the inner courtyard.

A corridor leads to the different rooms of the house: on the one hand, you can find the master bedroom with an anteroom and its own bathroom; on the other hand the kitchen and a large living room with two sofa beds.

History, Culture and life of Beneventano della Corte's family and Palace

The Beneventano's dynasty found its origins in Benevento, Campania. The family moved in 1292 to Sicily, in Lentini, under Federico D'Aragona's protection. The height of the Beneventano house's splendor was between XIX and XX century, thanks to Don Luigi Peppino Beneventano, the last great spokesman of the family and a great politician and patron of Lentini. At the end of XIX century the family members of the house left Lentini for Catania, under the leadership of Baron Giuselle Luigi Beneventano della Corte. The Beneventano's family still lives in Catania.

Placed in Stesicoro square, in the middle of Catania, Beneventano Palace overlooks the remains of Roman amphitheater and Vincenzo Bellini's statue, native composer. It has been sold in 1870 to Giuseppe Luigi Beneventano della Corte, and was completed afterwards by engineer Lanzerotti. The inside has been embellished by art works created by several artists from latest XIX century, as Giuseppe Sciuti, Alessandro Abante and Alfondo Orabana.

The palace is integral part of the artistic and cultural landscape of the city and offers fine apartments, combining an antique style with a modern and elegant taste...

The main cultural locations of Catania are easily reachable on foot, like: the Cathedral consecrated to Saint Agata, patron saint of the city; Massimo Theatre, builded in memory of the composer Vincenzo Bellini; the norman age Castle, Ursino Castle, where take place several art exhibitions and events.

During the first week of February the city commemorates the celebration of Saint Agata, the patron saint, in the centre city. This moment is one of the most significative of the catanese culture.

While you are in Catania you can admire two different landscapes, which union creates an unique one. On one side there is the Ionian sea with his shores, on the other side there is the Etna with its famous eruptions. You can also easily reach many of the most famous destinations from Catania, as Noto, Taormina, Siracusa, Piazza Armerina.
